Arshdeep Singh was born on 5 February 1999 in a Punjabi Jatt Sikh family to Darshan Singh and Baljit Kaur. He used to cycle 13 kilometers from his home to Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36, Chandigarh for practice. Domestic Cricket
Arshdeep started playing cricket at the age of 13. Arshdeep made his first-class cricket debut for Punjab in the 2018–19 season. He was part of the Indian team that won the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In 2018, he played for the Punjab Under-23 team against Rajasthan and took eight wickets in an innings (including a hat-trick) and a total of 10 wickets in the match.
