If a nation or society wants to be hurt, its culture is targeted, rich and strong heritage also becomes the basis for the progress of nations. The progress and prosperity of any country depends to a large extent on the thinking and behavior of the youth of that country, i.e. the young generation. If the youth wants to overthrow the governments, the latest example of which was seen in the neighboring country Nepal and earlier in Bangladesh, of course, there can be a separate discussion on whether this was the right move or wrong, but the bottom line is that the youth is the real power of the country.

That is why in elections too, various strategies are played by different parties to woo the youth. What is going on in the minds of the youth and how to win them over, these plans are constantly being made. Now the question arises that if the young generation has all the power in its hands, how can it be prevented from going astray, how can it be believed that it will take only the right decisions? While sometimes its right decisions benefit the country, religion and humanity, what will happen if it gets distracted and takes the wrong decision? That is why parents, teachers and other elders are busy explaining the difference between good and bad to children from childhood. Earlier, it used to be that they should not watch many films, TV, read magazines, and go to bad company, for which, apart from the guidance given by the parents, the governments also kept a close eye on the content. Now, many people will have a question that bad films and bad books still came into the market, but there was a restriction on them. That is why children and youth were emphasized on reading good books and having good company.

But today’s society has changed, now progress has been made so much that knowledge is also being taken through the content provided through the internet. Then no matter what kind of dawn has set in it, it is true that many young people are not fakirs of the line, they believe only after seeing and testing, but not all, and many of them come. The sources of modern knowledge are also served wrapped in entertainment, in which OTT platforms are playing the leading role and the content that is being served on OTT platforms, in which apart from entertainment shows and films, the magic of web series is speaking to the youth and where this magic will take them, there is no guardian or government exerting pressure on it. The youth are the masters of their own will and those who serve content have found a big market in this form.

Now, if we talk about the OTT platform and Netflix, which is speaking headfirst in it, and the web series running on all these platforms, it is not that they are bad in terms of art, but in this, those actors who used to roam around in the circle of nepotism are getting a chance to act. A very good story, good acting, plot and all the presentation are praiseworthy, but by unnecessarily serving dirty things, nudity and illicit relationships are being normalized among the youth. In other words, what they used to think was wrong earlier and they used to watch secretly is being normalized. For example, if we talk about one or two Indian web series, then ‘Mirzapur’ was much discussed. In terms of content, there was a lot of criminal scenes but it was digestible, but the obscenity that was served, even if it had not been used, would have been entertaining but still it was used. Similarly, ‘Aashram’ gave Bobby Deol a good opportunity to build his career. The others also did a good job. Everything was entertaining but obscenity was served unnecessarily in it so that these things become common among the youth, the message goes that this is a common thing and not a noble work. Similarly, many other web series in which some similar work was done. Now, if we talk about foreign web series, its craze is increasing a bit, and all these things do not come in any special feature, but in them, the behavior of ‘gay’, ‘lesbian’ is being normalized. Marriage of a boy with a boy, marriage of a girl with a girl is being normalized through these web series. Why is it being done? Who is behind it? And what is the purpose? This is still a hidden secret. We need to understand that repeated depiction may influence perception. One thing was heard that they demand a veil for hymns, food and women. But modern phenomena have completely destroyed the culture. Governments are trying their best to control this global content, but irony is neither their representatives have been able to do anything yet, nor do parents feel in their power to take any steps.
