One of these names is that of Balvinder Singh, who runs his Dastar studio in Kot Khalsa area of ​​Amritsar. He has tied Balochi and Pathani style turbans for Ranveer Singh and many other actors in the film.

Balvinder Singh, during a special conversation with Our Punjab, tells that earlier he was called only for Sikh Dastaars. “The director of the film asked if you could also tie a black-style turban. He asked me to try.” After this he started understanding and practicing the Balochi style. He says, “First of all, I tried tying it on myself, then tried it on other people. When the film team liked it, I started tying other turbans as well.”

Before this, Balvinder Singh had also been associated with the Hollywood film Calorie, where he had done the work of decorating turbans for the actors. According to Balvinder Singh, the team of the same film was also watching work related to Pagans in Dhurandhar, due to which he got the opportunity to join this project. Being associated with a project like Dhurandhar has proved to be a turning point for him, due to which his work got recognition on a large scale.

He said that now many people recognize him by associating him with the film and this is a satisfying experience for him. He also shared that his experience on the sets of the film was very positive. He was given full respect by actor Ranveer Singh and there was a cooperative environment with other actors, which made it easy to work.

Balvinder Singh has tied turbans at Inder Turban House during his days and many people come to learn turbans from him. They consider this work not just as a profession but as a service of honour. He has also contributed to the Dastar Museum built in the Gobindgarh Fort of Amritsar, where he has decorated the idols with different styles of turbans. This museum is considered to be a unique center of its kind in India, which displays different styles of turbans.
