The borderland of Punjab once again witnessed a wave of patriotic spirit as a special contingent of 18 Indian Army bike riders reached the India–Pakistan border at Fazilka. The rally, which began from Delhi with riders mounted on Bullet motorcycles, is being led by Colonel Rajeev Kumar. Upon reaching the border. The Commanding Officer of 67 Brigade at Fazilka Military Station flagged off the rally for the next leg of its journey.
This special bike rally, initiated by the Indian Army from Delhi under the theme “Wheels of Valor – Networking with Roots,” is not merely a journey but a unique initiative aimed at inspiring national service and motivating the younger generation. Its primary objective is to raise awareness among youth and school students about joining the Indian Army and to strengthen the spirit of patriotism among them.
Journey from Delhi to Fazilka

The rally commenced on 16 February from Delhi. Riding Bullet motorcycles, the 18 riders have set a target of covering more than 1,000 kilometers. The route passed through Hisar, Mandi Dabwali, Abohar, and other towns before reaching Fazilka. Upon arrival at the border, the rally was warmly welcomed by local military officials and residents.
What Colonel Rajeev Kumar Said
Colonel Rajeev Kumar, who is leading the rally, stated that the core message of the journey is “Meet and Motivate.” According to him, this is not just a motorcycle ride but a social outreach mission. The team will visit various schools, interact with students, and encourage them to consider joining the armed forces in the future.
He further highlighted that one special purpose of visiting border areas is to meet the BSF personnel stationed there and boost their morale. He said that the soldiers guarding the nation under challenging conditions are a source of pride, and meeting them to express respect is an honor for the team.
Colonel Kumar also mentioned that during the journey, the team is interacting with ex-servicemen to build a strong connection between the old and new generations. He noted that Punjab has made a significant contribution to the Indian Army, and several battalions of the Sikh Regiment have rendered exceptional service to the nation. He appealed to the youth to step forward for national service and further enhance the pride of the armed forces.
